David Polansky’s Music Through the Decades

Last month, multi-instrumentalist David Polansky performed “Music Through the Decades” at the Lawrence Library. Thanks to Pepperell Community Media, you can now watch this concert, which includes musical selections by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and others.

This program was supported in part by a grant from the Pepperell Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Additional funding was provided by the Friends of the Lawrence Library.

Library Trail and Native Garden Grand Opening

We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 PM for the grand opening of our accessible trail and native garden! The library spur trail is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and located behind the Lawrence Library, at the head of the Greens Brook Trail.

We are happy to share that this trail is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments. It is the only accessible trail at a public library in Massachusetts! Additionally, the new garden features plants that are native to the area.

There will be a story to read while you enjoy the trail: Looking Out for Sarah by Glenna Lang. Plus, we will have live music and light refreshments, sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Library Board of Trustees.
